Jan Briede, PhD who is responsible for certification training at DEQ , was the key speaker, focused on Virginia’s Storm Water Management (SWM) 
and Erosion & Sediment Control (ESC).
Training focused on the soil scientists role. Among the many certifications offered. LPSS can do Plan Review without being certified, the Regulatory and Technical considerations will be explained and explored.
This was a two and one half day event, with meals and lodging.
We incorporated a field practice on Saturday morning, and included site characterization, permeability, and professional roles in support of design and assessment into this training.
