Topics of discussion will include identifying redoximorphic features, permeability limiting features, pros and cons of using backhoe pits vs. hand augering, and much more! Most importantly, this conference will have tenured soil scientists present to answer your soil description and interpretation questions through hands on demonstrations. Dr. Steve Thomas, Dr. John Galbraith, Mr. Danny Hatch, Mr. Ryan Reed, and a few VT Soil Judgers will be supplementing VAPSS board members in the description of soil pits. VOWRA’s annual Conference & Trade Show will be held at The Hotel Roanoke in Roanoke
It’s not too late to reserve your space at VOWRA’s Annual Conference and Trade Show! 16 CPEs are available for full attendance. 4 on Sunday, 8 on Monday and 4 on Tuesday. We also accept walk-ins at the conference.
The education tracks begin Sunday at 1:00 covering AOSS Design & Installation in Marginal Sites: Critical Elements, a 10 Year Perspective. Monday will have three tracks: Design, Install & Operation. Tuesday will begin with a General Session and ends at 3:00.
